Butterfly Technology (Shenzhen) Limited is a leader in the fast-growing micro-projector industry.  Our origin can be traced back to OMT Digital Display Technology (Shenzhen) Limited, which is one of the earliest optical engine companies based on micro-display technologies in the world.  In 2008, to reflect our changed focus on the optical engine and whole projector solutions for the emerging micro-projector market, Butterfly was established and acquired all the assets and IP of OMT.  

As of today, we have established our leading position in the micro-projector world with probably the broadest product portfolio.  Our product lines range from low cost 5 lumen ones all the way up to 100 lumen and beyond.  We supply our world-wide customers both optical engine and whole projector products on OEM basis.  In addition, we also provide our customers strong technical support on electronic, mechanical and ID designs. 

Technology innovation has been the symbol of our corporate history with series of milestones achieved.  In October 2005 we developed the first 1080P LCoS optical engine in China.  At CES January 2008 we introduced the first business projector with the size of a business card.   In June 2008 we launched the world's first mobile phone with embedded projector.  We have developed a large amount of IPs and own many important patents in China and the world.   Over the years we have not only developed micro-projector design, but also the core technologies on key components which have enabled mass production of such products cost-effectively.
