Launch of the World's First Mobile Projector Phone

Tianjin China, June 13th, 2008 – Butterfly Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd., teaming up with Netcom (China) Co. Ltd. and JiangXi JingGangShan CKING Communication Co.Ltd., launched the world's first mobile projector phone, E1000, at the recently-held Tianjin International Mobile Phone Exhibition. The introduction event has drawn great attention from media and industry players.

The announced projector phone, named CKING E1000, is nothing but a regular mobile handset except for its embedded optical projector module. The projector module features focus adjustment, CVBS input, and high power LED light source technology. It can display a minimum of 30 inch screen under normal light situation with 640*480 resolutions. Through data cable, it can be connected with DVD, PMP, laptop, set-top box and other personal devices. The micro-projector module in E1000 is developed by Butterfly Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd., a world leading optical projector company. Butterfly has invested six years of R&D on related optical components and module design and manufacturing. The projector phone was designed by Netcom (China) Co. Ltd, a leading phone design company based in Shenzhen. The launch of this mobile projector phone (E1000) represents the beginning of a new personal display and entertainment era - the experience of watching video content from the mobile phone in your hand, such as movies, film clips and TV shows. E1000 can display video files on any white surface at 60 frames-per-second for a clearer, smoother and more detailed picture. To fully enhance the video experience, the E1000 is also designed with the capacity to continuously play for two hours video with internal lithium battery, enough to enjoy a whole movie without recharging.
